Over at Slate.com, they’ve teamed up with the Magnum photo agency to put together this awesome photo series of Los Angeles. Why you say? Because, according to the gallery, this week marked the day that the city of Los Angeles was incorporated. The pictures, mostly taken in the mid-twentieth century reflect the golden age of America’s cultural iconography, alongside the beautiful, space-age cars driving about town.
