According the UN, one third of global food production is either wasted or lost. So it seems apt that Austrian photographer Klaus Pichler should come up with this fascinating photos series of images of rotting food. The images, shot in a classical painted style, make the waste look quite beautiful. We imagine trying to photograph it was a different story.
